El Sistema Indianapolis is an after-school music program operating at two Indianapolis Public Schools. We are inspired by the Venezuelan music education movement of "El Sistema" which uses ensemble music to effect social change. We believe that a supportive musical community inspires youth to achieve their potential. We serve students with the fewest resources and the greatest need.
Substitute Teaching Artist El Sistema Indianapolis is accepting applications for Substitute Teaching Artists. Substitute Teaching Artists will be contacted as needed in the event that a Lead or Assistant Teaching Artist is absent. Substitute Teaching Artists will receive $75 per site per day. If you play ukulele, enjoy working with students grades 2-5, and believe that music has the power to change lives, we would love for you to join us!
